October 6, 2012 - Columbus, OH. The Huskers start off strong in Bo Pelini's first trip to his alma mater as NU's head coach leading 14-7 at the end of the first quarter. OSU quarterback Braxton Miller takes control of the game in the second quarter leading the Buckeyes to a 28-point second quarter to take 35-24 lead into halftime. The Huskers start the 3rd quarter with an impressive drive culminating in a 3-yard TD pass from Taylor Martinez to Ben Cotton but the Buckeyes prove to be too much for the Blackshirts outscoring NU 28-14 in the second half. Rex Burkhead has a 119 yards rushing and Kenny Bell has a career high 133 yards receiving but turnovers plague the Cornhuskers throughout the game.
